The short version
This is a marketing site for an independent AI consulting practice. There are no accounts, no logins, no forms, and no newsletter. I do not sell personal information. The only tracking on the site is Google Analytics, and some blog posts embed YouTube videos, which set their own cookies when they load.
Who is responsible for this site
This site is operated by Chase Keating ("I", "me"). If you have a question about privacy, or want something deleted, email [email protected].
What is collected
Information you give me directly
The site itself has no contact form. If you book a call, you leave this site and enter Calendly, where you provide your name, email address, and whatever you type into the booking notes. That information is collected by Calendly and passed to me. If you email me, I receive whatever your message contains.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics. Google Analytics 4 records pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, referring site, device and browser type, and rough interaction data such as scroll depth and outbound clicks.
- Server logs. The host serving this site records standard request data, including IP address, timestamp, requested URL, and user agent.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files a site or an embedded third party stores in your browser. This site uses them in two places:
- Google Analytics sets first-party cookies to distinguish one visitor from another across a visit and between visits.
- YouTube sets cookies when an embedded video loads. On the home page the video is a click-to-play placeholder, so nothing loads from YouTube until you click it. Inside blog posts, embedded videos load with the page.
Fonts are served from this site rather than a third-party font CDN, so they disclose nothing to another company.
There is no consent banner. If you would rather not be measured, you can block cookies in your browser, use a tracker blocker, or turn on Global Privacy Control. The site works fine either way, and nothing here depends on tracking to function.
Third parties that receive data
- Google (Analytics, YouTube): usage measurement and embedded video.
- Calendly: scheduling, if you choose to book a call.
- Cloudflare: hosting and delivery of this site.
Each handles your information under its own privacy policy, which I do not control. Following a social media link takes you to that platform under its own terms as well.
How information is used
- To understand which pages and posts people actually find useful.
- To respond to enquiries and run scheduled calls.
- To keep the site working, secure, and reasonably fast.
I do not sell personal information, and I do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Retention
Analytics data is retained according to the retention period configured in Google Analytics. Correspondence and booking records are kept as long as needed for the working relationship and ordinary business records, then deleted.
Your choices and rights
Regardless of where you live, you can email me to ask what I hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted, and I will act on it. Depending on your jurisdiction you may also have a formal right to access, correction, deletion, or portability, or to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. I do neither. I will not treat you differently for exercising any of these.
You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using Google'sbrowser opt-out add-on.
Children
This site is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided information, email me and I will remove it.
Where this site is operated
This site is operated from Canada and serves clients in North America. It is delivered through a global content network, so it is technically reachable elsewhere, but it is not aimed at, and I do not market to, individuals in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Quebec. If you access it from one of those places and want your data removed, email me and I will remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the updated version.
